Email from ConformBase

This is where our email comes from.

ConformBase is a European compliance-training platform. For shipping companies we run seventeen courses in two packages — cargo, crew and operation on one side, inspection, evidence and environment on the other. Licensed per vessel, not per head.

We use trainconformbase.com only to send and receive email. There is no product here — everything ConformBase actually does lives on conformbase.com.

What we would have written to you about

A container ship sails under one flag, is surveyed by a class society, calls at ports in several states and reports under EU law. Four authorities, one crew. Seventeen courses that sort those four layers the way they actually turn up on board and ashore — split into two packages by when the obligation lands on your desk.

Package A — Cargo, crew, operation

from 1,190 € per vessel / year

What you carry, whom you employ, what you emit, whom you may trade with — and the two management systems that hold the ship together. Nine courses that exist because you sail: dangerous goods, maritime labour law, VGM, EU ETS and MRV, FuelEU, sanctions, competition law, ISM/ISPS, NIS2.

Package B — Control, evidence, environment

from 1,060 € per vessel / year

The view from outside: the inspection in port, the recognised organisation, the investigation after a casualty, certificates of competency, sulphur limits, ship waste, ship recycling and the reports to customs. Eight courses in which someone inspects, certifies or expects a report.

Why this probably reached you

Your ship has a grade before it berths

Port state control keeps a risk profile for every vessel. Most of it — ship type, age, flag, recognised organisation — moves over years. One parameter moves with you: your company performance, built from the deficiencies and detentions of the last thirty-six months.

The pile arrived all at once

Emissions trading, FuelEU Maritime and NIS2 fall into the same two years as the standing duties from ISM, ISPS and maritime labour law. None is unmanageable on its own — together they nearly are.

The crew changes, the obligation stays

Whoever was briefed in March sails on another ship in June. Knowledge that sits with people leaves the company with them; the record has to stay behind.

What you actually get

  • Seventeen courses, none longer than fifty minutes — each assignable on its own
  • Licensed per vessel, not per head: a crew change costs nothing and reports nothing
  • Assigned by role with a deadline, certificate per person, one-click audit export
  • SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 export into your existing onboard system
  • Every course stands on the legal source itself, retrieved article by article
  • Built and hosted in the EU
